     FRAN WELLS

I loved radio as a little girl, listening to AM radio stations from far away places late at night.  Sorry, Mom, I know you thought I was sleeping.  In high school, I wrote for the newspaper and twirled flags in the marching band before heading off to The University of Georgia.  I landed a DJ job at a local radio station after graduation. It was a lot like the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati…complete with a “Herb” sales guy.

I moved to L.A. and worked at an ad agency before switching to TV, commercial and film production.  I collected props, assisted the art director and once dressed up as a buffalo while working on “Dances with Wolves.” 

I met my husband while working on a TV game show he produced.  He too was a Raider Fan, asked me to a game and the rest, as they say, was history.  After taking some time off to be home with my two rowdy boys, I got back to my radio roots reporting traffic for KOLA 99.9. Now I spend my mornings with more rowdy boys…Brian, Dave and Shaggy!

My afternoons are busy driving kids around to activities and helping with homework.  I enjoy taking Jazz dance classes, working with the youth group at our church, volunteering for the PTA at my sons’ school….and taking a good long nap!
